The expectations of a short 9-hole course are usually not that great but The Verde offers a challenge, which can compete with any of the courses in Belek.
After a gentle opening hole, the 2nd offers a terrific test and even if you don’t play from it, take a walk to back tee and imagine if you could carry the water. Then follow it up at the Par3 3rd making sure to keep your ball to the left side to hit the green.
Finally, on the Par 4 9th there is a chance for the bigger hitters to reach the green with their drives.
Very often on a golf break to Turkey, visitors have a rest day although some seeking an extra day’s play. The Verde is seriously worth considering for a nice gentle short round.
After a round enjoy the all-inclusive facilities of the clubhouse bar and restaurant.

The Antalya Golf Club has two courses, The PGA Sultan and The Pasha. Golf Mad with its two PGA Professionals also manages the state-of-the-art driving range and practice areas. Simon Dyson, 6 times winner on the European Tour was so impressed with the courses and the practice facilities, he readily agreed to act as an ambassador to the club.
The PGA Sultan
A true championship course which has hosted the top amateur tournaments in the world – The Brabazon Trophy and Eisenhower Trophy. In 2012 The Sultan was the first course in Turkey to host major golf stars, including Tiger Woods, Justin Rose and Rory Mc’Ilroy, who competed over 4 days for Turkish Airlines World Golf Finals Matchplay Trophy.
For the amateur and holiday golfer the Sultan offers some significant challenges which are fair. The opening hole has water right and left which can be daunting but get the drive away and set yourself up for a good start. The 3rd requires a bit of thinking with a small stream running across the fairway. The next 13 holes are a great test of golf with bunkers coming into play at strategic distances as well as three dog legs which on the Par 4’s require a good drive to open up the green for the 2nd shot.
Then just as you think you’ve got it sussed comes the challenges of the 16th (par 5) & 18th (par 4) both of which can destroy a scorecard. To make the green in regulation on both holes your drive needs to be as close to the water as possible. The question is do you have what it takes?

Golf Mad Academy
The practice facilities and the Academy at the Antalya Golf Club has seen some changes since Golf Mad took it over. There is enough room for over 50 golfers on the main driving range, but the chipping area has now been extended and includes a 60 metre practice range as well as a short range and bunker area. The putting greens are as they were.
The Academy has two fully qualified PGA Professionals as well as 2 assistants, all of whom are available for lessons.
The Golf Mad Academy has also recently added the state-of-the-art Flightscope system, which assists the Professionals in seeing the efficiency of a ball strike and allows the Academy to offer a full custom club fitting service.
With all this on-site there is no need to despair if your game is not quite up to standard during your golf holiday in Belek.
